What this tool includes

Six kits

Boom is 808-style: a long kick, snappy snare and metallic hats. Warehouse is 909-style, for house and techno. Backbeat follows the LinnDrum and DMX. Dust is twelve-bit SP-1200 grit. Lounge is a quiet CR-78. Sub is a modern trap 808.

Swing and feel

Swing delays the off sixteenths to a percentage of the eighth note, as on an MPC. Feel keeps hats close to the grid, puts loud backbeats slightly late and ghost notes slightly early.

Record chain

Drive, bus compression, a short room and a tape-style high cut process the whole kit. Some kits also add grit to each voice by reducing bit depth and sample rate.

Export

Download a loop as a stereo 24-bit WAV, the notes as General MIDI, or the whole kit as 108 samples with three velocity layers and three round robins per voice.
